LAKE ST. LOUIS (KMOX) -  Neighbors of a Lake St. Louis man are expressing shock and anger after he is charged with molesting two young girls over a three-year period.

Police have reportedly gotten a confession from 45-year-old Corey Brown, who originally faced more than 500 counts of statutory rape and child molestation before prosecutors wedged all of those allegations into ten criminal charges.

The girls are neighbors who were ages 8 and 9 at the time the alleged abuse began.

Brown remains in custody after a reported suicide attempt earlier this month.
