JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) - The Missouri Department of Transportation is asking for your opinion about the railroads in the state.
The online survey at www.modot.org asks people if they believe railroads are safe in their area and how best to publicize information about trespassing on railroad property.
The survey also asks is government funds should be used to expand freight railroad service and whether current passenger rail service routes should be expanded.
Among other things, the survey also asks people to rate the safety of train stations.
The transportation department plans to use the survey results to create a plan for freight rail, passenger rail and rail-crossing safety.
