Gov. Nixon activates State Emergency Operations Plan
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMOX) – Governor Jay Nixon has declared a “state of emergency” in Missouri.
Nixon says at least three people have died, and there were multiple injuries, as a result of the strong winter storms that raked across the state.
Nixon says he has offered state assistance to the commanding general of Fort Leonard Wood, where homes, buildings, and other property were damaged.
The governor’s office says any Missourian in need of disaster information or shelter information can call 2-1-1 to get it.
