Forsee Resigns as Univ. of Mo. President

JEFFERSON CITY (KMOX) – Governor Jay Nixon says outgoing University of Missouri president Gary Forsee provided a “steady hand at the tiller” throughout his tenure.

The university announced Forsee’s resignation, Friday, for personal reasons.

He’d been on leave to care for his wife, who has cancer.

Governor Nixon says Forsee capably led Missouri’s university system through a period of record enrollment growth during the past three years.
