ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX/AP) – A new keynote speaker coming to Washington University is stirring up some controversy.

Bristol Palin, Sarah Palin’s eldest daughter has been invited by the university to speak as part of its annual Sexual Responsibility Week.

If Palin accepts the invite, she will take part in a forum along with members of the Catholic Student Center, Missouri Right to Life, and Planned Parenthood.

The campus newspaper reports the Student Union Treasury approved a $20,000 budget for a four-person panel, including Palin to discuss abstinence. It’s not clear if all of that is going to Palin for her speaker’s fee.

University officials insisted Wednesday they can not comment on the invitation extended to Bristol Palin by a student group because no formal agreement has been signed.

However time is running out Washington University’s Sexual Responsibility Week runs February 7-12.

The 20-year-old single mother, has been an outspoken advocate of abstinence since her pregnancy in 2008.

Other Job Offers

Bristol Palin has been a busy girl. A Phoenix radio station has offered a job Palin.

Mix 96.9 host Mathew Blades says Palin met with the station’s management Friday and that they offered her a gig co-hosting with him on his morning show.

Palin hasn’t accepted the offer but Blades says she seems interested.

The former “Dancing With the Stars” contestant has purchased a five-bedroom house in the town of Maricopa, which is south of Phoenix.
