60 Flights Cancelled at Lambert, So Far

ST. LOUIS, MO. (KMOX) — The pending winter storm has prompted several airlines to cancel flights in advance of a forecast of sleet, ice and snow.

As of 12 noon Monday, Lambert is showing 60 cancelled arriving and departing flights. Lambert has scheduled operations of nearly 500 arriving and departing flights a day.

Lambert urges all passengers with flights scheduled between now and Wednesday to check with their airlines to determine if there are any changes to their flight schedules to reduce the inconvenience of traveling to the Airport if there is a major delay or cancellation.

There are more cancellations for inbound flights, as of 12 noon, which means the public should also check with airlines on flight information before coming to the airport to pick up passengers.

Lambert crews are already treating airfield surfaces and the main roadways into and around the Airport. Lambert’s snow removing teams, consisting of nearly 220 personnel, are on standby to be activated when conditions warrant.
