ST. LOUIS (AP/KMOX) — The winter storm is making travel extremely difficult in Missouri.
By Tuesday morning, hundreds of flights had been canceled at Lambert Airport in St. Louis, Kansas City International and at smaller airports around the state. Interstates and highways are becoming slick and, in some cases, snow-covered. Morning commuter traffic was slow in Kansas City as snow began to stick to roadways.
In St. Louis, MetroLink light rail trains were running only limited routes due to ice and sleet.
People who didn’t need to get out were urged to stay home.
