CENTRALIA, Ill. (KMOX) – The Red Cross has opened two shelters for people without power in south central Illinois.

Families living near Effingham can go to the town’s Park District office at 1906 S. Fourth Street.  In Centralia the Murray Development Center at 1535 West McCord has been opened.

The agency says the 24-hour emergency shelters will remain open as long as necessary.
