Federal Prison Time for Man Who Sold Counterfeit Viagra

Megan Lynch

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) – A St. Louis man will spend nearly four years in federal prison for selling counterfeit Viagra and Cialis.

Prosecutors say in 2009, 47-year-old Mark Hughes began ordering large quantities of drugs without prescriptions from sources in India and China.  The U.S. Attorney’s Office says Hughes admitted in court he sold about 11,000 doses worth roughly $120,000.

Hughes has also been ordered to pay restitution.
