ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – The National Weather Service office in St. Louis is predicting unseasonably warm temperatures for the weekend— with Sunday’s highs in the lower 50′s.
That’s about ten degrees above average for this time of year.
Weather Service meteorologist Jon Carney says to watch for any hazards created by melting ice, “If any problem with falling ice is going to happen, it’s probably going to be Saturday. You’re going to get rid of it off building tops on Saturday, and you’ll see a lot of the ground being uncovered by Sunday night.”
Carney says there’s a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms the middle of next week.
Highs by next Friday could be in the lower 60′s.
