ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – An autopsy is planned for a 77-year-old St. Louis woman found dead in her burning home.

Fire captain Dan Sutter says crews arrived at the scene in the 8500 block of Drury Lane, shortly after six, Sunday morning, “The fire wasn’t very large in nature. It looked like it was localized to the center of the house.”

Sutter says the exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.

He reports no other injuries from the fire.

The victim’s name is being withheld until family members can be notified.
