Local Man Says Pot is For Medicinal Purposes, Wants Charges Dropped

Justin Wingerter

ST. CHARLES, Mo. (KMOX) –  A Navy veteran injured while serving in Grenada says he needs the marijuana he grows to deal with chronic pain…but St. Charles County prosecutors aren’t buying it.

52-year-old Ken Unger of O’Fallon, Missouri is urging prosecutors to drop charges of growing pot in his basement.

Unger’s suggestion comes just months after St. Charles prosecutors dropped similar charges against a man found to be using pot for medical uses.
