Driver’s License Delay in Mo.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — The Missouri Department of Revenue won’t be able to process driver’s license applications Monday because of a computer upgrade.

The department says an upgrade of a national database of driving records was beginning Saturday and continuing Monday. The agency uses that database to make sure a driver seeking a Missouri license doesn’t have a revoked or suspended license in another state.

Most license offices will be closed Monday for President’s Day.

Those that are open will be able to carry out several functions, such as renewing license plates, issuing titles and collecting sales. But they won’t be able to issue new driver’s licenses or permits because of the upgrade.
