ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) – KMOX News has learned a person is trapped in rubble from a partial building collapse in East St. Louis.

Police tell KMOX’s Brian Kelly, the victim was apparently in the building looking for scrap materials when the floor collapsed. The victim’s legs are pinned under wood beams but he is able to talk to responders.

Crews were called to the scene in the 1200 block of Missouri Avenue just before 11:00 a.m.
