WENTZVILLE, Mo. (AP) — Items ranging from office equipment to luxury cars and expensive toys will be auctioned starting March 26 to help pay thousands of creditors owed money by bankrupt US Fidelis.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported Friday that the auction will occur on three dates: March 26, April 2 and April 3.
Wentzville, Mo.-based US Fidelis was once the nation’s leading seller of extended auto-service contracts. The auction and a preview on March 25 will be at US Fidelis headquarters in the former Belz Factory Outlet Mall.
The bankruptcy lawyer representing US Fidelis creditors isn’t sure how much money the auction will raise, but says items being sold are worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
US Fidelis collapsed in 2009 amid allegations of consumer fraud.
