Surprise Snowfall Prompts Cancellations at Lambert

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — Monday’s surprise snow storm prompted some cancellations at Lambert Airport.

Lambert Spokesman Jeff Lea says some 60 flights have been canceled — about half of them arriving and half departures.

Lea says the airport did it’s job clearing the runways in time, and it’s up to the airlines to de-ice their planes.

What’s not clear is whether individual airlines had enough de-icer on the shelf to deal with the late-season storm.
