JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) -  Missouri residents won’t be able to get drivers’ licenses Saturday because of a computer upgrade to a national database.

The Missouri Department of Revenue says 136 of the state’s 183 local license offices are scheduled to be open Saturday.

But they won’t be able to process requests for drivers’ licenses because of computer improvements to a database that’s used to ensure people don’t have driving violations from other states.

Local license offices that are scheduled to be open still will be able to handle vehicle licensing and sales taxes on Saturday.

Missouri also was unable to issue drivers’ licenses one Saturday last month because of upgrades to a national computer database.
