Pujols, Howard Among Hottest-Selling Jerseys

NEW YORK (AP) — Derek Jeter’s No. 2 is No. 1 with fans, & Albert Pujols’  No.5 ranks 6th.

Major League Baseball and the players’ union announced Wednesday the 20 best-selling jerseys from last season.

The Yankees captain’s top headed the list, followed by Minnesota’s Joe Mauer and Philadelphia’s Roy Halladay.

The Phillies led all teams with four on the list. After Halladay, Chase Utley was fourth, Cliff Lee was fifth with his jerseys from Seattle and Texas included in the total, and St. Louis native Ryan Howard placed 18th.

In all, 11 teams are represented in the top 20.

The rest of the top 10: St. Louis’ Albert Pujols, Texas’ Josh Hamilton, Boston’s Dustin Pedroia, the Yankees’ Alex Rodriguez and San Francisco’s Tim Lincecum.
