SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KMOX) – Missouri is losing another basketball coach.

Missouri State University head basketball coach Cuonzo Martin says he’s leaving after three years to become head coach at the University of Tennessee.

Martin plans a news conference Monday in Knoxville.

During his three seasons at Missouri State, Martin led the Bears to a 61 and 41 record.  This year’s squad finished 26 and 9 and lost to Indiana State in the finals of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament in St. Louis March 6th.

Recently, Mike Anderson left the head basketball coaching job at the University of Missouri to become head coach at Arkansas.
