City Officers Ordered to Turn Over Cell Records

Bill Reker

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Four St. Louis City police officers have been ordered to turn over their cell phone records to determine if they sent unauthorized photos of a dead murder suspect.

That was the ruling from a federal judge Thursday.

Photos of Carlos Boles’ body were made public after he was shot to death in south St. Louis.  Boles was the man who shot and killed a U.S. Marshal and wounded two city police officers during a stand-off.

The officers in question tried to block the release of their cell phone records.
