ST. PETERS, Mo. (KMOX) – Fairmount Elementary school in the Francis Howell school district in St. Charles County is under a lockdown at this time.
According to the districts website its just a precautionary measure and there is no immediate threat to their schools.
The lockdown was issued after reports of a shooting in a neighboring subdivision.
St. Charles County Sheriff’s Lt. Craig McGuire tells KMOX two men reported that someone in a vehicle fired three shots at them, as they walked on Park Charles Blvd.
No one and nothing was hit.
Students are not allowed outside. All school activities will continue as normal just inside the building.
