ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – What’s been happening, behind the curtain, in University City? Missouri’s State Auditor tells all, later this evening.
The audit was prompted by a 2009 petition drive by residents, who collected more than three-thousand signatures.
Organizers were concerned about what they saw in the budget, claiming the city council assumed a sales tax would pass at the polls and had begun budgeting in the extra revenue, but the tax failed.
They also had concerns about ethics involving the former mayor and ex-city manager.
The meeting is at six o’clock on the fifth floor of City Hall.
