St. Joseph Police Shut Down Chippendales

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (AP) __ St. Joseph police shut down a show by the Chippendales male dancers Wednesday night, alleging that it violated Missouri’s adult entertainment laws.

Police Capt. Kevin Castle says police at the bar doing liquor inspections witnessed several violations of state laws on adult entertainment and alcohol, but did not elaborate.

Four male dancers were issued summonses for not having adult entertainer’s licenses and one was cited for having no business license. And the on-duty manager was arrested and later released for possible violation of the Missouri adult entertainment statutes.

The St. Joseph News Press reports that the no charges have been filed while the investigation continues.
