ALTON, Ill. (AP) — Bond has been set at $70,000 for a  Metro-East teen accused in a sexual attack on a female jogger.

Seventeen-year-old Latayuss Curry of Alton was charged Friday with aggravated criminal sexual abuse and unlawful restraint.

Police say the woman was jogging Thursday afternoon when a man chased her, grabbed and fondled her.

The woman struggled and screamed, and a neighbor came up and stopped the attack.

The suspect fled on foot. Curry was arrested a short distance away.

It wasn’t immediately clear whether he has an attorney.

The (Alton) Telegraph reports that Curry is a resident of the Catholic Children’s Home.
