ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — It’s the big question how much will Friday’s tornado outbreak cost?
According to Congressman Lacy Clay a lot, more than $30 million in damages at the Lambert International Airport and roughly 7,500 in structures damage on government buildings.
FEMA’s preliminary damage assessments will begin Tuesday in St. Louis County, and should be completed within the next 72 hours.
Once their reports are complete, an official request will be sent for a presidential disaster declaration.
That would allow home and business owners to tap into federal resources for costs not covered by their insurance.
