The producers of the new national company of the Broadway hit “La Cage Au Folles,” that will play The Fox January 3-15, 2012, as part of the U. S. Bank Broadway Series, have announced that veteran film and television star George Hamilton will appear in the leading role of Georges.
The 72-year-old actor received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2009. Among his best known film roles are parts in “All the Fine Young Cannibals,” “Light in the Piazza” and “Two Weeks in Another Town.” Hamilton’s only Broadway credit has been in the role of Billy Flynn in the revival of “Chicago” in 2002 and 2007.
