HAZELWOOD, Mo. (KMOX) - Hazelwood police are recommending that criminal charges be filed against three students at Hazelwood West Middle School.
Police Chief Carl Wolf says a female student was forced into a bathroom near the school cafeteria by several boys on the afternoon of Monday, May 2.
“Two of the students for sure tried to sexually assault her,” Chief Wolf tells KMOX News. “The other two appeared to be maybe lookouts.”
Recommended charges against the suspects, who range in age from 12 to 14, include attempted forcible rape, 2nd-degree assault, and injurious behavior.
“I think this is probably an isolated incident,” Chief Wolf says, “but it is disturbing.”
