Two Killed in Daytime Shooting in N. St. Louis

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) –  Two men were fatally injured during a daytime shooting in north St. Louis Thursday.

A city police spokespeson says one victim was sitting inside a car at Veronica and Partridge, and another was standing outside the vehicle.

Around 1 pm, a man walked up and began talking to the men, then pulled out a gun and opened fire.

The man standing outside the car was struck in the head.

“Victim number one was pronounced dead at the scene,” according to the police department spokesperson.

The man inside the car was also struck in the head and later died at an area hospital.

“The suspect then got in a white vehicle and fled the scene,” the spokesperson said.  “He’s described only as a black male with a light complexion.”

Names of the victims haven’t been released.

The investigation continues.
