GRAFTON, Ill. (AP) — An autopsy is planned on a man whose body was pulled from the Illinois River near Grafton days after he was reported missing near the southwestern Illinois community of Nutwood.
The man’s body was found Sunday. His name hasn’t been released, pending the outcome of an autopsy meant to shed light on how he died.
The man went missing Thursday evening after he fell into the water with a woman with whom he was boating. She was rescued and treated at a hospital.
It isn’t clear how the man and woman happened to end up in the water.
