ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — According to CBSSports.com, former Missouri Tigers quarterback Tyler Gabbert is visiting the University of Louisville today. Since his departure of Mizzou, rumors have floated around on where the St. Louis native may land. Louisville was one of the first schools mentioned, and is the first one that Gabbert has visited.
CBSSports.com Senior Writer Brett McMurphy is reporting that the connection at Louisville is quarterbacks coach Shawn Watson. According to McMurphy, Watson recruited Tyler Gabbert, a graduate of Parkway West High School, when he was the offensive coordinator for the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Like his older brother Blaine Gabbert, Tyler de-committed and signed with Missouri. However, Tyler decided to take his talents elsewhere when competition to become the next quarterback for Gary Pinkel’s Tigers look to favor James Franklin.
