GRANITE CITY, IL (KMOX)- A squirrel is blamed for Sunday morning’s power outages in Madison County.
Ameren Illinois spokesperson Natalie Hemmer says a squirrel got into a distribution line Sunday morning, knocking out service to 1,904 customers. Granite City was the area mostly affected.
Hemmer says 982 customers are still without service. She says all power should be restored around 11 a-m Sunday.
