ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) – Normandy High School officials have boosted security after finding a loaded 22-caliber revolver in a student’s book bag this morning.
The district had already elevated patrols, following a student-involved shooting in Velda City Wednesday afternoon.
Officials says the 15-year-old freshman was questioned after being found in an area of campus restricted to students. After a routine search revealed the weapon, he was taken into police custody.
The school says the student’s parents also face a parental neglect complaint. Today is the last day of classes for the year.
