BARNHART, Mo. (KMOX) - Images from surveillance video led investigators to make a pair of arrests in an armed robbery at a gas station.
Jefferson County Sheriff’s officials gave this account: A man armed with a gun and wearing a bandana over his face walked into the U-Gas on Catlin Drive in Barnhart early Tuesday.
He pointed the gun at the clerk and demanded money, but the clerk refused to give him the cash and hit a hold-up alarm.
Police identified a white Pontiac Grand Prix in surveillance footage as the car used by the robber and another man.
Although no license plates were visible on the surveillance footage, investigators recognized the vehicle and later arrested two suspects.
23-year-old Mitchell Fox and 24-year-old Kyle Harrison, both of Barnhart, are being held on a charge of attempted 1st-degree robbery.
