UPDATE: Standoff Ends in South St. Louis; No Injuries

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) –  The morning standoff in south St. Louis maybe over, but the search continues for the man at the center of the ordeal.

St. Louis Police and SWAT surrounded a home in the 3700 block of Minnesota around 7 a.m. Thursday.

After the suspect reportedly argued with a woman, then assaulted her before she was able to break free and run outside.

There were concerns because the man reportedly still had a 2-year-old boy with him inside the home. The child was later found unharmed.

The 28-year-old man had run away before officers arrived. He has not turned himself in yet, but police say they are talking with the suspect via a cell phone and text messages.
