Earthquake Shakes St. Louis Overnight

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - An earthquake was felt in the St. Louis-area at 3:10 a.m. Tuesday.

The 3.9 magnitude tremor was centered 14 miles from Sullivan, Missouri and 51 miles from St. Louis, according to the U.S. Geological Service.

It was felt from Columbia, Missouri to Carbondale, Illinois, according to callers to KMOX and postings on Twitter. Depending on who you ask, the shaking lasted from 3 to 20 seconds.

There are no reports of damage at this time.
