Flood Warnings for the Mississippi, Meramec and Cuivre Rivers

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – A flood warning has gone up for the Meramec River near Arnold.

The river is about three feet over flood stage and minor flooding is occurring.

The Meramec is expected to crest at over five feet above flood stage by Sunday afternoon.

Wells Road and Meramec Bottom Road will likely be flooded.

There is also flooding on the Mississippi River North of St. Louis.  The river at Hannibal is expected to be eight feet over flood stages by Thursday night.  At Winfield the Mississippi will be seven feet over flood stages on Friday night.  At Grafton, ten feet over flood this weekend.  It will be six feet over flood stage at Alton this weekend and at St. Louis the Mississippi is expected to be four feet over flood stage this weekend.

The Cuivre River at Old Monroe is rising above flood stage tonight and will be about four feet over flood stage by Friday evening.

There is minor flooding on the Missouri River at St. Charles, but the river there continues to drop.
