COLLINSVILLE, Ill. (KMOX) - Remember the hit and run crash in January where a man was struck by a vehicle,  then thrown into the path of an oncoming snow plow?

Now Illinois State Police have made an arrest in the case.

52-year-old Jeffrey Cox of Edwardsville is charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury crash.  Cox turned himself in this morning (Thursday).  He’s been released on bail.

On January 11th, a 25-year-old man was walking along Illinois Route 157 near Mooney Creek Lane when he was hit and dragged nearly a thousand feet by a passing vehicle, before being struck by a snowplow.

Cox faces up to seven years in prison plus fines.
