MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. (AP) — Police have recovered the property stolen, but not yet made any arrests, after nine vehicles were broken into in the St. Louis suburb of Maryland Heights.

The break-ins occurred at Pheasant Run Apartments before 2 a.m. Wednesday.

An officer on patrol spotted two men standing next to a car. The men jumped into a Dodge Caravan and took off when the officer stopped. Police pursued the minivan but it got away. It was later found abandoned in the city of St. Louis.
