Woman Carjacked in South City by Men Posing as Cops

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Police in St. Louis are searching for two men after a woman said they carjacked her vehicle while posing as officers in the city’s Carondelet neighborhood.

But police told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch on Wednesday that there were inconsistencies in the woman’s account.

The woman says she was getting into her car in the 6400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue about 1:40 a.m. Wednesday to move it to a garage when two men in their 20s identified themselves as police officers. They were wearing black T-shirts with the word “Police” on the front.

The woman says one of the men had a gun. They ordered her out of the car and drove off with it.
