The Sports Hub: Rob Neyer, Jeremy Rutherford, Ezra Edelman, & Dan Reardon

The USA national soccer team was defeated 4-2 after taking a 2-0 lead early. Following the game in Pasadena, California at the Rose Bowl, the entire post game ceremony was in the Spanish language. USA goaltender Tim Howard was not happy with that and said this:

Following that, Kerbs and Claibs debate whether international athletes should have to speak the language of the native country in which their professional team is based.

Rob Neyer of SB Nation joins the broadcast the to discuss a national perspective on the Cardinals. Do they need help? Are they in any shape to make a productive trade? Rob, Kerbs, and Claibs discuss these topics and more.

Jeremy Rutherford, the Blues beat writer for the St. Louis Post Dispatch, joins the broadcast to discuss language barriers, but more importantly the current off-season activities with the local hockey club. Unfortunately, all of it is not good so far as the Blues hope to put together a team that can get back to the playoffs and hopefully do more. Is the Blues front office doing this?

On July 13, the day after the 2011 All-Star Game, HBO will air “The Curious Case of Curt Flood“. Joining the broadcast is documentary producer Ezra Edelman to discuss the interesting project.

Is Rory McIlroy being over-heralded after winning the 2011 US Open? Probably, but is this not good for the sport of golf? KMOX Sports’ Dan Reardon joins the show to discuss the topic. Plus, they talk some golf from a local perspective.
