ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Car break-ins are back in the news, but this time it’s for all the right reasons.
St. Louis Police Detectives overnight arrested a 20 year old man, who is is suspected of car break-ins in at least 6 different locations around town. Detectives are working on presenting the case to prosecutors later today.
No word yet if the suspect was involved in last weekend’s mini-crime wave of car break-ins that involved 60-plus vehicles parked around Busch Stadium. The property damage and thefts set off a round of finger-pointing at city hall and in the media, with Mayor Francis Slay proposing tough new rules for parking lots to increase security.
