Mr. Brennan: I wasn’t able to get you phone No this AM. Hannibal is my home town-I’m now 76. The last time I took a friend to Hannivbal, we toured the Cruinshank mansion-built in 1898. It’s located on the highest spot in Hannibal. It’s still furnished as Mr. C. furnished it. It was sold since then and it maynot still be open to tour. When I lived in Hannibal, I want to get inside it so bad. It was unoccupied at that time. I loved it. The lighthouse has steps up to it to climb, but it is not open to climb. It’s at the foot of Main st just a block from the Clement’s home.
Out side of New London is a Alpaca ranch–StarLight Ranch. It’s run by Tom & Anita Martin-my former sister in law. The children would enjoy that. I haven’t been in the cave since I went with my sunday school teacher who owned it at that time.
On 79 across from the cave entrance is a tourist park the kids would love. The restaurant serves a wonderful pork tenderloin sandwich. The Mark Twain dinette next to the home also serves then and homemaide root beer. I’m sure there will be plenty of things to interest all of you. It’s a typical 1800 :=”river town”
There is a river boat you can take out on the river for a short cruise.
I had you autograph your book at a Wednesday Club and I unstand you are to speak at our St. Louis-jefferson DAR Chapter in December.
    Have fun and enjoy
