ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — The Missouri Department of Transportation will close ramps and restrict lanes in numerous spots on I-44 and I-270 this weekend.
The exit ramp from eastbound I-44 to southbound I-270 will be closed tonight starting at 8 p.m. The ramp will be closed due to the close distance to the work zone on southbound I-270 at I-44 and Rott Road.
Crews will have temporary lane closures on southbound I-270 between I-44 and Gravois Road (Route 30) this weekend to begin two months of bridge rehabilitation, weather permitting. Starting tonight crews will restripe the lanes and shift the traffic to the left side of the interstate.
Suggested weekend detour routes:
- During the weekend lane closures on southbound I-270, motorists are advised to use Route 141 as an alternative.
- During the closure of the eastbound I-44 ramp to southbound I-270, motorists are advised to use the Lindbergh exit (US 61/67) to Gravois (Route 30) to southbound I-270. Signs will be present to assist drivers with the detour.
All work is expected to be completed by 10 a.m. Monday, July 11.
