ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Workers arriving at Nu-Way Services at 7450 Hall St. in north St. Louis early Monday discovered the body of a man lying outside the front entrance.
Homicide detectives were called to the scene but police now say there were no obvious signs of trauma and that this may be a possible heat death, or something other than a murder.
A police spokesman says there had been deterioration from the heat that made facial identification of the middle-aged male impossible, indicating he may have been lying there for some time since the business in the industrial section of north city was closed over the weekend.
An autopsy to determine the man’s identity and possible cause of death is set for later in the day Monday.
