Man Could Be Charged After Arrow Pierces Woman’s Face
ST. JOHN, MO. (KMOX) - A St. John woman had something with her breakfast she didn’t expect: an arrow piercing her upper lip and jaw.
Eighty-year-old Margaret Shofner was eating breakfast when the arrow came through her window and lodged in her mouth. It was shot by a man who was target practicing nearby, police said.
The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Robert Joiner, was using target practice arrows which have no razor edges, so Shofner was able to pull the arrow from her head.
KMOV TV reports Assault and Armed Criminal Action charges are pending against the archer.
