ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — The St. Louis Cardinals announced today that they have placed right-handed pitcher Lance Lynn (strained left oblique) on the 15-day disabled list and they have activated outfielder/infielder Allen Craig from the 15-day disabled list prior to tonight’s game against Milwaukee.
The Cardinals will also have the services of catcher Yadier Molina, who returns tonight after serving a five-game MLB suspension.
Craig missed 54 games after suffering a fracture to his right knee on June 7. He batted a combined batted .244 with 1 HR and 6 RBI in 12 injury rehabilitation games between Springfield (AA) & Memphis (AAA). At the time of his injury, Craig was batting .336 with 4 homers and 23 RBI in 40 games. He has made starts at second base, third base, left field and right field this season.
