ST. LOUIS (KMOX) –  Two are dead and a third wounded after a gun battle broke out at a north St. Louis home late Tuesday night.

It began when a man forced his way into a home in the 5700 block of Pamplin, saying he needed to see someone who was inside.

A woman who lived in the home tried to follow the man inside, but found the door was being held shut.

When the woman, identified as 33-year-old Moesha Jordan, began banging on the door, the intruder opened and pointed a gun at her.

Another person on the porch pulled a weapon, but the intruder fired, killing Jordan where she stood.

The gunman on the porch fired and struck the intruder, who later died.

He’s identified as 23-year-old Darryl Robinson.

Someone inside the home was struck in the side and hand during the shootout and is now in critical but stable condition.
