SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) — A former federal government employee from Ash Grove has won $1.2 million in the Missouri Lotto drawing on July 30.
Sixty-nine-year-old William Brookes bought the quick-pick ticket at a Kum & Go convenience store in Springfield. Brookes chose to take the $600,000 cash option.
In a news release from the lottery, Brookes said that he never thought he would actually win a Lotto jackpot.
The winning numbers from the July 30 drawing were: 1, 16, 24, 26, 29 and 41.
