ARNOLD, Mo. (AP) — The St. Louis-area town of Arnold now has a piece of steel from the World Trade Center, something that will serve as a monument to remember the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
The artifact arrived Thursday and will be unveiled on Sept. 11 at the Arnold Recreation Center. Mayor Ron Counts led a moment of silence upon the arrival of the artifact. He says the steel beam will always serve as a reminder of what happened 10 years ago.
