ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – A man suspected of being the “The Family Dollar Bandit” is behind bars.

St. Louis city police say thanks to tips from the public, 23-year-old Ricky Lane, Jr. was arrested Thursday and charged  Friday with two counts of first-degree robbery and two counts of armed criminal action.

Lane is accused of showing a gun to rob Family Dollar stores on Martin Luther King and Natural Bridge, earlier in the week.

Bond was set at $150,000 for the St. Louis resident.
